Debbie Boon stands out in the contemporary art scene for her remarkable ability to infuse her artwork with vibrant energy and vivacity, drawing inspiration from subjects that ignite her imagination. In collaboration with Debbie, The Norfolk Wildlife Trust, and DeMontford Fine Art, we embarked on a fascinating journey to uncover the essence of her artistic creativity.
Central to this exploration was understanding what fuels Debbie's artistic vision and how she captures the essence of her subjects on canvas. Known for her mastery of acrylic paint and her penchant for working on large canvases, Debbie's artistic process is as awe-inspiring as her finished pieces. We aimed to delve deep into her techniques and artistic philosophy, shedding light on the intricate details of her creative process.
The film production took place in Debbie's studio, providing an intimate glimpse into her artistic sanctuary where creativity flourishes. Additionally, we ventured along the picturesque Norfolk coastline, capturing the breathtaking landscapes that inspire Debbie's artwork. This immersive approach allowed us to showcase not only the technical aspects of her craft but also the profound connection between Debbie and her natural surroundings.
This film stands as a cornerstone of the inception of Heist, marking the inaugural collaboration between Nathan and Justin under the Heist banner. Its significance lies in its pivotal role in shaping the very essence and identity of Heist as a collective.
“Art doesn’t want to be laboured it wants
to look vivacious.”
