Capturing the creative process of an artist is always an exhilarating experience, and this short documentary documenting Peter Layton in his London glassblowing studio was no exception. Commissioned by Star India, the film offers an intimate glimpse into the world of one of the most renowned glass artists.
We followed Layton closely, observing his meticulous and passionate approach to his craft as he embarked on creating a unique piece for the 2018 Reimagine Awards. The documentary not only allowed us to showcase the intricate techniques and skills involved in glassblowing but also delves into Layton's artistic vision and inspirations.

We were asked to showcase the work of award winning glass craftsman Layne Rowe. Layne has set up studios in both Brazil and the UK with his work being exhibited worldwide notably within the V&A and Saatchi galleries.
Our goal was to explore his use of traditional craft techniques and how he has combined them with contemporary ideas and how this experimentation has created his unique style. Out of the Furnace promoted his work in conjunction with Peter Layton Glass Blowing for 2018 Collect exhibition at the Saatchi Gallery, London.
